Lord, C. (2006). Rules. New York: Scholastic Press

That may be the case, but it doesn’t make things any easier for Catherine who is constantly dealing with her younger brother who is autistic. Outsiders will stare and make fun of him so Catherine has decided to make rules that will help David fit in with society. While at one of David’s occupational therapy appointments, Catherine meets and becomes friends with Jason, who is mute and in a wheelchair. Throughout their friendship he helps her become more comfortable with both his and David’s disabilities.
